I write this letter in response to a portion of the article dated June 25, 2025, written by Dylan Brown, about the Washington County Planning and Zoning (“P&Z”) Commission’s vote of no confidence in Washington County Prosecuting Attorney True Pearce. In his article, Mr. Brown writes that I, Sean Jorgensen, “declined to comment for [my] boss” after the P&Z meeting on June 17, 2025. This statement implies that I declined to defend Mr. Pearce against P&Z’s bogus allegations. This is not accurate.
I wholeheartedly endorse and support Mr. Pearce as the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney. He is a man of the utmost integrity. He is one of the hardest workers I have ever known. It is an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Washington County as his Deputy. P&Z’s allegations against Mr. Pearce are categorically false. Ron Jaeger’s “letter” to you about Mr. Pearce, dated June 24, 2025, is pure libel.
The people of Washington County elected Mr. Pearce to change the way the prosecuting attorney’s office operates. He has done and continues to do exactly that. It is unfortunate that so many people in positions of power are so terrified of following the law. The people of Washington County deserve better from their unelected bureaucrats.
Sincerely,
Sean Jorgensen (In my capacity as a private citizen)
