Letter To The Editor – Kirk Chandler

Red or Blue?
We live in the State of Idaho, that is known throughout the U. S. as being a RedState. In a lot of the counties and Districts if you don’t run as a republican you will not have a chance to be elected. It is that way in Washington County. We have liberals run as republicans and then they represent their blue ideas when they are elected. It is so obvious that they put their liberal candidates on the republican ballot in the primary. They openly encourage all their friends to register as republicans so they can vote for their candidate in the primary. The primary election decides the winner. When they are sworn into an elected position, (commissioner, clerk, accessor, treasurer, sheriff, prosecuting attorney, coroner, district board member, precinct committee person, representative, senator and governor) you take an oath to uphold the constitution. We in the county, most of us anyway, feel that taking an oath is important. The result of this is we have elected officials that take the oath and then break it by not upholding and defending the constitution. Our founding fathers put this in place as a last defense for the people. The liberals lie about who they are and what they represent. They get into power and pass and interpret laws and code that take away our rights as citizens and over regulate us. We need to be very vigilant to find out the character and motives of our candidates for this upcoming election. We are generally a conservative people, let’s keep it that way by electing good, honest candidates who care about following the constitution and code in our county. It is your responsibility to be an informed voter.
