To whom it may concern:
This letter is to show support for Charlie Prentiss and the work she does rescuing dogs.
Charlie is a local treasure. She takes care of the poor lost souls who can’t take care of themselves. Many are with special needs. They need a place to live. A place to feel safe and warm. A bed. A bowl of water. Some treats and a toy to play with. They need love.
Charlie does it all on her own and this city needs her. How many times have we seen the social media post reporting a lost, missing, or injured animal? And how many times has the reply been “Call Charlie Prentiss?” She is there for them when no one else is. Most of us say we want to help these critters but Charlie is the one who talks the talk and walks the walk. I don’t know all the details about the recent issues with renewing her license but the powers that be in this city need to get it together and do whatever it takes to let her do what she does for these helpless animals. They need her. We need her. This city needs her.
