The LOR Foundation is currently looking to hire a Weiser Community Officer. This position will be held by someone who lives and works locally, can handle a fast-paced environment, and has deep roots within the community of Weiser.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for Weiser. The LOR Foundation works with people in rural areas to improve the quality of life in a variety of ways by facilitating change and funding resources. They are a private foundation that stands for Livability, Opportunity and Responsibility. They work with individuals and organizations to start projects that benefit rural areas like Weiser. Community officers must be aware of current issues and needs within the community and are excited and motivated to act upon ideas. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, up for challenges, and able to engage in local and social media to find opportunities and solutions to problems. A minimum of 5 years’ related experience is required, with 10 years’ experience preferred. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
