In July the Midvale Marketplace, Inc. (a non-profit) held a meeting at the Midvale City Hall to gauge interest in developing a 7 acre parcel of land, that they own, into a Nature Park. This 7 acres lies along the Weiser River and is within the Midvale City
limits.
The initial meeting garnered enough interest to warrant another meeting scheduled for Monday 8/12 at 5:30 pm at the Midvale City Hall.
Mike Thomas, who was influential in the development of the lovely Weiser Community Pond, will join us at this meeting, to hopefully give us advice and direction going forward. We look forward to meeting with him and hope that others will join us with their questions, ideas and suggestions..
This will be a long term project and will require a commitment from not only the community, but organizations and business leaders who see the value
in preserving this property for current and future generations.
This was Lane Williams dream when he and his wife, Elsa Freeman, purchased the property. He has since passed away, however his dream of creating a Nature Park lives on.
Please mark your calendars and join us.
