The Treasure Valley Community came together this weekend to celebrate a beloved culinary delight at the Tater Tots Festival, hosted by the dedicated team at Revitalize Ontario and supported by Ore-Ida, Simplot and Kraft Heinz
Taking place at the beautiful Lions Park on September 20th and 21st, 2024, the event attracted visitors from all over the valley and beyond, all united by their love for this iconic snack.
With the aroma of freshly made tater tots in the air, festival-goers enjoyed a wide range of activities, from bull riding, axe throwing, car show and live music, all centered around the crispy, golden morsels that have become a staple in American cuisine.
Local food vendors showcased their creativity, offering unique takes on the beloved potato treat, ensuring that there was something for everyone to savor.
The event not only highlighted the deliciousness of tater tots but also served as a celebration of Ontario’s rich history as the birthplace of this popular dish.
The festival’s success has sparked excitement for continuing the tradition, with organizers looking forward to making the Tater Tots Festival an annual celebration for years to come.
Terry Dols, President of the Revitalize Ontario team said, “We believe this festival will grow and evolve, bringing even more joy to our community and celebrating our unique culinary heritage.”
As the last crumbs were devoured and the festival drew to a close, attendees left Lions Park with full bellies and smiles, already excited about next year’s celebration.
The Tater Tots Festival is poised to become a cherished event in Ontario’s calendar, highlighting the town’s vibrant spirit and love for good food.
