PAYETTE, ID — July 10, 2025
Three seniors from Payette High School — Ryker Phillips, Jaxon Rodriguez, and Michael O’Campo — organized and hosted a free two-day youth baseball camp at Killebrew Field as part of their senior project.
Held on July 10th and 11th from 6 to 8 p.m., the camp welcomed local kids ages 8 to 12 for an evening of baseball fundamentals, teamwork, and fun. The goal of the camp was to give back to the community while encouraging younger athletes to get involved in the sport.

Campers arrived with their gloves, baseball gear, and water bottles, ready to participate in drills and games led by the student-athletes. The event saw a strong turnout and was well-received by both kids and parents alike.

Families are advised to use the bus barn entrance due to parking lot closures.
This project not only served as a meaningful capstone to the seniors’ high school journey but also provided a fun and active opportunity for local youth to learn and connect through baseball.
