Pie in The Face

Weiser’s Pioneer School students gathered today, Wednesday, March 19th, in celebration of their hard work for Pioneer Schools big Read-A-Thon. Students kept track of how many minutes they read and got pledges for those minutes. Students earned fun prizes like a Wolverine bracelet, a book reading light or a scooter. Two students even walked away with Kindle e-readers. But the highly sought out reward was the chance to throw a pie in the face of their principal, Mr. Davies.

A student from each grade who read the most minutes would get to throw a pie. The winners for the pie throwing were announced at the assembly. Four young ladies read the most in their grade levels and were given pies to throw at Mr. Davies. The girls each took their turn surrounded by their fellow students and teachers cheering them on.

Just when Mr. Davies thought he was done with getting pie in the face; they announced that Mrs.Davies earned the opportunity to throw, not one, but two pies in Mr. Davies’ face. Students and staff laughed and cheered as they watched on as both pies were smeared in Mr Davies face. Wanting to share the fun, Mr. Davies grabbed Mrs. Davies and gave her a big hug.
