My name is Racheal Lopez, and I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for the Payette School District School Board Trustee zone 5. Having been born and raised in Ontario and spending my summers in Payette, I always knew this community would be the perfect place to raise a family. Today, all three of my children are proud graduates of Payette, and my husband of 30 years and I are now empty nesters. This moment feels perfect for me to stand up for our schools and families. With over 35 years of experience in education and a degree in Early Childhood Education, I am deeply passionate about the wellbeing and development of the children in our community. I am a former Payette School District employee, honored to receive the Classified Employee of the Year award in 2020. I was a dedicated member of the Booster Club for 8 years, serving as vice president for 3 years. For the past six years, I have been living my dream job as the Director of The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Treasure Valley at the Payette and Weiser locations. As a school board trustee, my goal is to advocate tirelessly for our students and work diligently to ensure they receive a high-quality education that will empower them for a bright future.
