Small Town Fitness, with two convenient locations in the greater Weiser area, is a dedicated training facility committed to helping individuals become the best versions of themselves.
Catering to a diverse range of fitness levels, Small Town Fitness offers a variety of classes for adults, along with specialized youth fitness programs designed to inspire and engage the younger generation.
One of their recent community initiatives was the Murph Challenge. This intense workout honors Lieutenant Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL who was killed in action in Afghanistan. The Murph is a grueling 600-rep test that consists of:
– Running one mile
– Completing 100 pull-ups
– Performing 200 push-ups
– Executing 300 squats
– Running another mile, all while wearing a weighted vest.
Renowned for its difficulty, the Murph is widely embraced by functional fitness communities worldwide, particularly as a tribute to fallen service members, often performed on Memorial Day.
At Small Town Fitness, the Murph Challenge is modified to ensure that participants of all fitness levels can join in and challenge themselves. The facility is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment that encourages community participation and personal growth.
