Structure Fire on Central Drive, Ontario, Oregon

Press Release by Chief Benson from Ontario Fire & Rescue

On June 3, 2025, at approximately 1:31 PM, Ontario Fire and Rescue (OFR) was dispatched for reports of a structure fire at 1690 Central Drive. Rescue 1 responded with a crew of three, along with Operations Captain 140, and incident command 100.

While in route, OFR requested a general page to alert all off-duty firefighters. OFR arrived on scene to find a detached garage fully involved with fire, along with equipment in the driveway, and fire extending into a grass field nearby.

Law enforcement assisted with evacuating the residence on the property. There was one occupant injured from a ground level fall during evacuation; the patient was transported by Treasure Valley Paramedics.

OFR and fire crews from Vale, Fruitland, and Payette worked to extinguish the fire and successfully protected the residence. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
