The West 9th Street Project started in February 2021, but was built from an idea in early 2008. This project’s biggest motivation was to widen the bridge to at least a two lane road. Another goal for this project was to remove the existing dog leg at Indianhead and West 9th. Not only was the City of Weiser able to conclude these two goals for this project, but also were able to go above and beyond. West 9th Street has a smooth and much nicer finish. There were over a hundred participants included in this project. As looking for the future in upcoming projects, the City of Weiser is always replacing water and sewer main every year. The water department has recently been GPS surveying the entire water system in our town. Within the next year, the City of Weiser looks forward to start chip sealing roads for their next street project.
