WEISER,ID- On Monday, July 14th at the Weiser City Council monthly meeting Public Works Director Mike Campbell gave an update on the many projects currently being done around the city. Campbell shared, “It’s amazingly busy, but everything is going very well.”
West 9th Water Main project: Is ready to proceed. A water main extension will be going under the railroad tracks. The estimated start date for the project is the end of September into October. Waiting on the contractor for an official date.
Pond Asphalt project: Asphalt path completion around the pond is scheduled for the first week in September.
Memorial Park/Blue Cross Grant project: Is “all but done” . Most of the cost went towards the new covered areas. Possible monies left over. Encourage the public to go take a look at all the new add ons for the park.
Memorial Park Grandstand to Bathroom Sidewalk project: Complete
Memorial Hill Sidewalk project: sidewalk complete. Asphalt patch estimated completion in August/September, but will be complete by football season.
Indianhead Pathway project: Well underway. Estimated completion by mid-August.
Commercial Street project: More soft spots and elevation issues not foreseen. Possible overage on cost. Will update at the August meeting. Substantial Completion date was still estimated for July 27th. But hoping to open to traffic the first part of August. Still NOT legal to drive on at this time. Reminder to the public to not drive on it.
Dog Park project: Fencing and cement complete. Water tap scheduled.
Water fill stations: ordered
