Frank Yraguen of the Vale Heritage Reflections Mural Society recently shared exciting updates on Vale’s iconic murals.
Founded in 1992, the Society’s mission is “working together to create a community where buildings are outdoor galleries and walls are windows into the area’s rich Oregon Trail heritage; a community with a diversified economy and a brighter tomorrow.”
Frank reported that several murals are currently being refurbished, ensuring they continue to shine as part of Vale’s “Outdoor Gallery.” These murals bring history to life with a vibrant cast of characters portraying the struggles, triumphs, and everyday experiences along the Oregon Trail. Collectively, they celebrate Vale’s diverse heritage and create a lasting connection between the past and present.
The Vale Heritage Reflections Mural Society is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are gratefully accepted to support the ongoing preservation of this community treasure.

The surrounding sounds made for a challenge. As we tried to cut out the background noise, it also took out Frank’s voice. We apologize.
