Construction will start this summer on a new trail that will give walkers and bike riders a new way to cross town with views of the Weiser and Snake Rivers. The Bridge to Bridge project will begin near the Weiser City Pond and end near the bridge that connects the state of Oregon to Idaho covering about 2.5 miles. With this trail, along with the Weiser River trail already in existence, it would create a pathway from the Weiser Bridge to the bridge leading into Annex, Oregon. The project was a dream for many community members and is now being made possible with the help of the LOR Foundation. LOR was able to help find $19,744 in funding to help get the project off the ground.

The LOR Foundation was also able to help in finding $6,500 in funding to have mosaic triptych signs created at the entrances of the pathway. The triptych signs will be created by two local artists, Liz Mowrey and Sandra Mockwitz. Work on the signs has already begun and will depict the wildlife in the area. The artists hope that by knowing the wildlife that lives along the path that the community will be more aware and respectful of their home.
