On Monday August 12th, 2024 the Weiser City Council was presented with a proposal by local business owner, Bonnie Akbar. Akbar asked the council for permission to paint a mural on the Weiser City Pool building. The mural would be painted outside on the south facing walls near the entrance to the pool.
Originally Akbar had planned to ask the city for help with the cost of paints for the project, but she was granted approval to get the paint funded through the LOR Foundation. The council voted and approved Akbar’s proposal. The mural will be beach and ocean themed and will start going up later this month.
