Thank you, Weiser, for your generous support of this year’s winter coat giveaway. We’ve never had so many donations of coats, hoodies, hats and scarves. It was wonderful! In fact, after today’s giveaway we still have enough of everything to cover next year too. Weiser folks are amazing.
A big thank you too to all our volunteers (adults and teens) who help not only on giveaway day but throughout the year sorting and storing donations, lifting heavy storage bins and posting flyers for this un-techy coat ministry leader. Once again this year, we’re grateful for librarian Timbra who allowed us to put our donation box in the library and who posted on the library’s web page. Thanks also to the Weiser Elks, Columbia Sportswear and the LOR Foundation for their more than generous donations.
We had so many happy and appreciative recipients at the giveaway. This picture of three of them who received a brand new coat, hat, scarf and gloves shows why we all do what we do. Those smiles say it all.
