The Weiser High School Talent Show is returning after its absence last year. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. this Monday, the 24th. Admission is five dollars a person. Funds raised will pay for shirts that the Choir will wear while touring in March.
Once again, this unique opportunity for our community’s youth to showcase their talents has come. There will be 15 acts rich with variety. Vocal, instrumental, comic and a few rumored surprise acts will be featured.
As he holds auditions, Mr. Turner likes to have all of his students do their auditions in class. As a Choir student, I was able to have a bit of a sneak peek into what the show will be like. This year’s show would be an unfortunate one to miss! Seeing the impressive talents that these students possess makes me think of all of the other students within our school that won’t be sharing talents this year. The amount of talent among our community’s youth is truly amazing.
A large part of an individual’s talent growth is being able to perform for an audience. It’s one thing to practice at lessons or at home, but to step out of your comfort zone to perform something that’s curated for an audience is a way to gain confidence and further solidify the talent. That being said, let’s be the fantastically supportive community that we are, and show up for the performers!
