Weiser Lions Reupholster Library Chairs

By Dorothy Evans

Armed with battery-operated screwdrivers, pliers, staple guns and hammers, the Weiser Lions reupholstered nineteen conference room chairs at the Weiser Public Library on March 7th .

As a service to our community, each March the Weiser Lions choose a special project
to help local organizations. Last March, the Weiser Lions collected new clothing for
sexually abused children through donations from the generous people of Weiser and
the year before that, socks. Both those projects benefited Rose Advocates.

This year, the Weiser Lions asked various organizations in town if they had a special
need and from those responses, the Library’s upholstering project was selected.

Throughout the year, the Weiser Lions collect aluminum pop tops to benefit the Ronald McDonald House and used glasses for the underprivileged in foreign countries. A donation drop box is located at Columbia Bank.

For further information on the Weiser Lions, please visit our Facebook page at Weiser
Lions Public. Together, we can accomplish so much.
