Weiser School District Breaks Ground for New Track

Thursday, August 22nd Weiser High School District broke ground for a new Track behind Weiser High School. Superintendent Kenneth Dewlen, Athletic Director Bo Von Brethorst , Weiser High Principal Drew Dickerson and Weiser School Board members were all in attendance. The Track and Field program had a lot of support for the new track. The Weiser Track and Field Program usually hosts about three track meets a year not only for Weiser but for our upper country neighbors as well. The Weiser Recreation Department uses the space for a youth track program in the spring and many community members use the track daily.

Along with the replacement of the track the facility will also get new enfield ends, new jump pits, new high jump area, pole vault landing area, two new shot put throwing areas and a new javelin throwing runway. The track will also forgo the traditional black and be Wolverine red and white. To learn more about the new track and its updates check out the Weiser School District Board of Trustees August 12th meeting video on our YouTube, Website and Social media outlets.
