The Western Idaho Science Fair is offering a wonderful opportunity for children of all ages to compete in similar age groups at the Weiser Vendome.
Registration Due: March 30th, 2022
When: April 14, 2022
Time: 9am to 4pm
Where: Vendome Event Center, Weiser, ID
Kids can get registered and display their best inventions and special science projects! On their website, www.westernidahosciencefair.com, there is a science fair project guide published by Science Buddies that can help kids get started. An animated video will provide details and instruction on how to prepare a project for the science fair. Researching a topic is the first step in getting started. Once a topic is chosen, then kids can organize their ideas, create a timetable, make a research plan, construct a hypothesis, and start experimenting. The steps of the scientific method should be presented. Utilizing the resources on their website will be hugely beneficial to the process.
Participants are required to follow the rules of the competition or risk being disqualified. Some of the rules are: no live animals, no erupting projects, and no food or drinks allowed except for bottled water. Visit the website to review all of the rules and regulations. Registration is open now and due by March 30th. Participants will be judged on the following categories: research question, design and methodology, execution, data collection, analysis, interpretation, creativity, and presentation.
Registration is $15.00 per student plus $0.90 convenience fee
