Out in the rolling hills, in the big sky country of Idaho lived a loving father, brother, friend, and honorable man named William Anton Kamerschen. With peace and love in his heart, William passed away on Friday, March 14th, 2025.
William Anton Kamerschen was born at Stanford Hospital in Palo Alto, CA on June 18, 1952. Many knew William as Bill, Bud, or Billy. He was son to his late mother and father William and Marian Kamerschen.Â
William grew up in the golden eras of the 50’s and 60’s. He had a wild free-spirited heart. His youth was filled with adventure, mischief, and memorable moments. He spent youthful days, going to candy stores, playing marbles, completing puzzles, and playing baseball, which was his favorite. Bill was always athletic. In high school he played baseball as a shortstop and pitcher. He also was an avid Olympic like skier and was never afraid of catching some air on the slopes. He loved rooting for the Giants at Candlestick Park in San Francisco and betting on the horses at Bay Meadows racetrack.
After graduating from Mt. View High School, Bill completed a local carpentry apprenticeship in Los Altos, CA. He was naturally gifted in the trade of construction and was best known for his custom cabinetry. Bill was very skilled in the trade of working with his hands, from fixing cars to building homes.
Bill was a hunter, fisherman, and gardener. He loved the outdoors, playing golf, camping, cutting wood, drifting down the river, and taking rides out on the country roads with his dog Pepper. Bill enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved dancing to the Grateful Dead and watching the sunset with the songs of Neil Young and Paul McCartney. He loved his community, home, friends, and family. Bill will be missed by so many hearts. He is survived by his three children, Brittany, Vannessa and Kristjain Kamerschen, his granddaughter Athina, his sisters’ Maggie Osuna and Bobbi Richardson, and brother Norman Wyman and his beloved dog Pepper and cat Smoky.
