Carolyn Deines Moser

April 24th, 1940 – May 8th, 2019

Carolyn Deines Moser went to be with Heavenly Father on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Cascadia of Nampa where she was in rehab following breaking her hip.  She was reunited with her husband after 35 years and many other loved ones.  Carolyn was born April 24, 1940 in Torrington, Wyoming to Edna Weickum and George Deines, she joined an older sister Delores, her brother Dwain soon completed the family.  At a young age the family moved to the Oregon Slope to farm.  Carolyn attended the Community Church in Weiser Idaho with her family while growing up.  Mom would share stories of riding a horse to school, and many wonderful stories of growing up with her family.  She was a “Daddy’s Girl”.
Carolyn graduated from Weiser High School in 1958.  She loved her graduating class, she looked forward to all of their many adventures together, especially the yearly reunions.  Carolyn made life-long friendships that are rarely seen in today’s world.
Carolyn married the love of her life Darwin Hyde Moser December 14, 1958.  Dad was very shy, so Mom chased him, caught him and kept him.  They lived in Payette, Idaho and Summer Lake, Oregon before settling in Weiser, Idaho.  They had three children Darla, Karen and Darren.  Boyd Lynn and Ray Moser, (son of Boyd Moser that had passed from an accident) lived many years with them. Life was never boring on the farm, Carolyn worked right beside Darwin.  She could be found on the tractor, in the fields, with the animals, cooking the meals, while keeping the roads hot running kids back and forth to town and the phone lines buzzing.  Over the years Carolyn had many kids running in and out of the house and calling her ‘Mom’.
Carolyn joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Jan. 26, 1963.  She held many faithful callings but her favorite calling was working with the cub scouts.  She loved being a Den mother to all of Darren’s school and church friends.  She was sealed to her Eternal companion in the Boise LDS temple June 13, 1992.
Following Darwin’s death in 1984, Carolyn moved to Middleton then Boise and began her career as a Legal Secretary which she did until her retirement.  Carolyn loved reading, doing crafts, knitting and crocheting, until her death.  She loved to travel and has been to several countries with her daughter, Darla.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Darla and Michael Plyer; son, Darren Moser; three grandchildren, Nichole and Nelson Santiago; Melissa Meyer and Jonathan Palmer; Michael Maddox; and four great grandchildren; Elden Santiago; Nelson Santiago; Kayleeann Denny; and Issac Palmer; sister Delorse Smith and brother Dwain and Lana Deines.
