Payette School Board Selects Next Superintendent To Lead The District

The Payette School District Board of Trustees selected Brad Baumberger as the next Superintendent to lead the district. Baumberger will replace Superintendent Robin Gilbert, who is retiring from the position.

This decision came after a long process, facilitated by the Idaho School Boards Association, and included many applicants spanning across the country as well as in- state.

The Board held multiple meetings throughout the process, which included reviewing candidate applications, reviewing survey input from the community and staff, conducting reference checks and research, and held interviews. After much deliberation, the Board ultimately decided to offer the position to Mr. Baumberger, who is currently employed by Payette School District.

“We are excited to have Mr. Baumberger lead this District. The Board spent many hours contemplating candidates and felt that he would be the best person to lead the District towards continued great success. He is already a phenomenal asset to our District and I am confident that will continue in this next role.” said Board Chairman Andy Kirkendall.

Baumberger is currently the Business Education Teacher at Payette High School. He has served in that role for four years. Prior to that, he was the Superintendent and Athletic Director at Highland Joint School District. Other positions include teaching business courses to high school students, private-sector sales jobs, coaching, and serving on non-profit boards that serve youth.

Baumberger has an Educational Specialist degree, including a Math and Secondary Business & Consumer Education Endorsement, from the University of Idaho.

“Payette School District has been good to me, I am excited to offer my experience to the board, staff, students, parents, and patrons and serve as their next Superintendent” said Baumberger.

He will begin the role as Superintendent beginning July 1 st , 2022.
