The 100 People Who Care-Weiser held their quarterly meeting on Monday, August 19th in the beautiful garden at Sunnyside Farm and Events. Three organizations, the National Oldtime Fiddle Contest, Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation, and FCA Idaho of Weiser, each gave a short presentation about the services they provide to the people of Weiser and how an influx of $7,000 to $10,000 could benefit their organization and those they serve. Members of 100 People voted to honor FCA Idaho of Weiser with a quarterly donation of around $8,000.
FCA Idaho of Weiser meets at the high school every week during the school year, providing lunch or treats and helping 25 to 40 students connect and interact in a positive environment. They also award college scholarships to seniors and support student-athletes at Weiser High School. They plan to continue supporting student scholarships and providing scholarships for Weiser couples attending the Fall 2024 Couples Weekend at Shore Lodge in November.
If you’d like to join the 100 People Who Care – Weiser, please contact Kelly Haun, Layna Hafer, Rick Estes, or Michelle Estes. Members commit to donating $100 per quarter, $400 per year. The total donation from all members creates a wonderful opportunity for a local 501(c)3 organization.
