Weiser Memorial Hospital’s First Baby of the Year Arrives

By Thereasa Rasmussen

Just a little after 7am, Tuesday, January 3rd, Weiser Memorial Hospital’s first baby of 2023 arrived. Parents Cecilia and Colton, along with big sister, welcomed their new baby boy, Emmett James Ollie to their family.

Little Emmett came into the world weighing six pounds, fifteen ounces and is nineteen and a quarter inches long. Pictured with the family is Val Donicht, a member of the Xi Nu Sorority.  Ladies from the sorority donated and even made some of the baby items gifted to the family. The basket is filled with things like diapers, shampoo and blankets for little Emmett.

Kasey Davis, Marketing & Community Relations Manger shared, “Weiser Memorial Hospital has seen an increase in the number of babies born at their facility recently. In 2021, there were 30 babies delivered and in 2022 56 babies were born at WMH and Emmett is the first for 2023. The hospital has 2 spacious birthing suites equipped with everything needed for expectant families. To learn more, visit www.weisermemorialhospital.org.”
