As The Illustrious Onion Skin Players prepare for their 40th Anniversary Show in March of 2025, Living In The News will share highlights of shows to remind us of the great entertainment we have right here in the Treasure Valley. If you haven’t experienced the show in the Historic Star Theater, in downtown Weiser, you are in for a treat that will get you cheering and booing. The Illustrious Onion Skin Players perform an 1890’s-style melodrama the first three full weekends of March every year. This magical show makes you laugh and cheer, oh, and don’t forget the booing. Old-fashioned family entertainment complete with olio’s and Can-Can girls. Performing since 1985, the Illustrious Onion Skin Players have been delighting audiences by taking them back to the old and often wild west with a sense of flare all their own.
