Cairo Junction Students Earn a Sweet Treat

Thursday, April 4th students from grades kindergarten through eighth grade form Cairo Junction School were able to tour Weiser Classic Candy and Deli. Students earned their chance to attend this field trip by having stellar attendance.

Students were educated on many of the store’s favorite candies and got to watch as huckleberry fudge was made and then packaged. Owner and operator Patrick Nauman guided the tour and ended it in the back room where students watched two different candies being dipped and placed in treys to dry. After the tour each student was given a sweet treat to enjoy.
