By Zane Nichols and Russell Noah, Cambridge FFA, 9th Grade
On December 8th the Cambridge FFA Freshman class competed in the Greenhand Knowledge test. Overall they placed 2nd in the Western Idaho District. The top 5 individuals in the class were Zane Nichols(81 points), Becca Chandler(72 points), Russell Noah(71 points), Abbey Uebelhoer(71 points), and Kalub Dubose(67 points). The alternate team was Cayden Kellar, Madison Gerlock, Heath Fortin, Luke Mchenry, Ricky Vanmeer, and Tyler Greesley. The team was very excited to place this high because in years past the Freshman classes have never placed that high. The test included questions about FFA knowledge, Idaho FFA history, Program of Activities and Official FFA Dress code.
Five Freshmen also competed in the Cambridge FFA Local Creed speaking Competition on Tuesday November 9th. Rebecca Chandler won and moved on to district where she competed against 9 other creed speakers from the Western Idaho District. She traveled to New Plymouth with Mrs. Mink to compete on December 9th. The five contestants that competed locally were Cayden Kellar, Abbey Uebelhoer, Russell Noah, Zane Nichols, and Becca Chandler. Thank you to the judges for taking time to judge these contestants.
Congratulations to all the Cambridge FFA freshman greenhand members.
