City Of Weiser Will Flush Hydrants

City of Weiser Water Department crews will be flushing fire hydrants on Wednesday, May 12th.

The annual flushing removes sediments from mainline pipes, which enhances water quality, verifies the proper operation of fire hydrants and valves, checks for closed valves and weak flows in the water mains, and verifies ample flow for firefighting.

During hydrant flushing, residents may notice a temporary drop in water pressure. It is recommended to avoid washing laundry while crews are flushing hydrants. If residents notice a discoloration in their water, the city recommends to let the water run from the tap until it is clear.
