Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services recently received a generous donation of $5,738.00 from Stateline Auto Ranch Subaru for their Meals on Wheels program.
For the last 13 years, Subaru Share the Love Event, Subaru of America, Inc, and participating retailers donate money to their chosen charities. Nationwide, Subaru Share the Love Event has donated more than $200 million to charity, between four national charities and more than 1,440 local charities. This year, Stateline Auto Ranch Subaru chose to give to Malheur Council on Aging & Community Services. With every vehicle purchase or lease within the timeframe of the event, a portion of the purchase price is donated to their charity. Helen Dickinson of Stateline Auto Ranch Subaru shared that this is their second year choosing the Meals on Wheels program.
Representatives of the Malheur Council on Aging expressed their gratitude for the donation and shared that the donation will purchase over 1,800 meals for seniors. Without donations like this, the organization would not be able to continue to serve the senior population. The service they provide is often a lifeline for those who try to remain in their homes for as long as possible. The Meals on Wheels program allows for important interaction between staff and clients and an essential companionship to those who need someone to check in on them.
The continued support of the community and the folks at Stateline Auto Ranch Subaru is so appreciated.
