Close Call Averted by Prompt Response in Weiser Fire Incident

The Weiser Fire District swiftly responded to a potentially hazardous situation this morning, as a dump trailer containing burning debris sent out plumes of smoke on the property just West of Legends On Main. The incident was caused by a contractor involved in constructing the new addition to Legends On Main who had burned debris in a barrel the previous night.

Believing the fire was extinguished, the contractor dumped the remnants into the dump trailer, leading to the ignition of old wood and debris within. Quick actions were taken to prevent the fire from spreading as the Weiser Fire District, assisted by Weiser City Police, brought the situation under control.

Fortunately, diligent efforts by responders and on-site personnel ensured that the fire did not escalate further. By swiftly relocating nearby utility trailers, vehicles, and debris, a potential disaster was averted. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024, at approximately 10:20 AM.

The prompt and effective collaboration between the Weiser Fire District, Weiser City Police, and onsite workers underscored the importance of preparedness and rapid intervention in emergency situations.
