Connie Crosby Koopman

Connie Crosby Koopman, 83 passed away peacefully at Vibra Hospital in Boise, Idaho on January 15 2023.She was born on June 5, 1939, in Los Angeles, California to Ernest Frank Crosby and Carrie Lavina Irwin. Connie moved to Ontario, Oregon in the early 1960’s to be closer to her mother. She then met the love of her life John W. Koopman. They were married until they divorced in 1985 and remained very close friends. They had 2 children together, Jon & Bobbi.

They resided in Ontario, Or, Fruitland, Id, Meridian Id, and finally settled on the Oregon slope where her and John remodeled and decorated their home together, grew a large garden and raised many farm animals. She loved canning and baking, at which she was very good at. After her divorce Connie moved to Weiser, Idaho where she resided for 36 years prior to moving to Edgewood Assisted Living in Fruitland Idaho in 2021. Connie loved getting visits from her kids and grandkids. Her grandkids were very much involved in her life. They were always there to help with things that she needed, during times her daughter was not able.

Whether it was grocery shopping or an occasional Dr visit. She was lucky to have the chance to be around her great grandkids, 8 and 3 years old. She was loved so much by her 8-year-old Great granddaughter, Kambry, who will miss her very much. She was always right there to help as well.Connie had the best memory and loved telling stories from her past. She will be so greatly missed by all that knew her and had the privileged of being in her company. She is preceded in death by her sister Edna, half-brother Wayne, half-sister Sharon and her late ex-husband John Koopman and many friends. She is survived by her children Jon (Kristi) Koopman, Bobbi (Cas) Palomo, her grandchildren, Kelsi Palomo Sadie (Jose) Olivo & Riley Palomo from her daughter and Ethan, Micah and Aubrey from her son. A total of 4 Great grandchildren. She has no idea how much she will be missed and never forgotten.
There will be no graveside ceremony or services at her request. She will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery in Ontario, Oregon, close to her mother, stepfather and late ex-husband.
