Exciting developments are underway in Weiser as Treasure Valley Farms embarks on a new building project that includes the realignment of County Road 70. The property surrounding the popular “Laird property” and Mortimers Island, owned by Treasure Valley Farms, will see significant changes as the road is realigned and will improve access to the city’s property.
Collaborating with the City of Weiser’s engineer, Treasure Valley Farms is spearheading the realignment effort. City of Weiser’s Public Works Manager Mike Campbell expressed, “They are going to move that road south,” to better fit the road use needs.
With Treasure Valley Farms funding the changes and implementing drainage solutions, the City of Weiser is contributing by providing dirt and manpower. Campbell noted, “We have never had a real agreement for the road out there,” but Treasure Valley Farms plans to formalize the change by signing an easement agreement with the City of Weiser.
