Ken from the Weiser Elks Lodge recently presented a donation to Coach Annaka and the girls softball league. The Caldwell Girls’ Athletic League Softball, Inc. (GALS) is a nonprofit organization created back in 1983 to develop summer softball programs for local girls.
Coach Annaka shared her gratitude for the generous donation which benefits the girls who practice and work hard to prepare for summer tournaments. Gear and equipment will be purchased with the donation. Coach Annaka is thrilled to have so much community support for their programs.
“The purpose of GALS is to encourage the development of citizenship, friendship, sportsmanship, and leadership in the community through organized, safely equipped, and properly coached softball activities for female youth,” quoted from the GALS website. Games are played at facilities in Caldwell, Nampa, Homedale, and Boise areas.
