The Idaho Eastern Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation was recently honored when Lions International sent a film crew from Chicago to make a video of the projects of the foundation, the eyebank, and new vision clinic housed in the foundation office.
They conducted interviews with people who have received corneas, and other types of eye surgeries and assistance from Idaho Lions Eye Bank. They were particularly interested in the vision clinic as there are not many clinics like this in the United States. Lois Sutton of Midvale was asked to participate in the project as a trustee of the foundation board. Her interview was about her personal involvement in Lions and in the foundation as well as the history of the Midvale Lions.
It was a tremendous honor for the all Lions of Idaho and Eastern Oregon to receive recognition for the work they do. The video will not be ready for publication for a year. By Lois Sutton
