Matthew McMullen Obituary

n Loving Memory of Matthew McMullen

On the somber afternoon of February 15, 2024, our beloved Matthew departed this life in a tragic and senseless motorcycle accident that snatched him away too soon, a life cut short by the inattention of another.

Matthew’s journey began in Boise, Idaho, where he spent his early years, later settling in the quaint town of Weiser, Idaho with his family.

Matthew leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by those who survive him: his devoted mother, Marcie McMullen, and her husband, Pico Avila; his son, Domingo McMullen; his daughter, Brooke Popolick; and his two precious granddaughters. He is also fondly remembered by his brother Steven Hindberg and Steven’s fiancee Meikayla Wyatt, his Uncle, Merl McMullen, and Aunt Victoria.

Matthew now rests in peace, reunited with his beloved grandparents, Merlin and Mildred McMullen, his great grandparents, and a host of departed loved ones.

Throughout his life, Matthew faced his share of challenges, yet his essence remained pure and his heart kind. Known for his unwavering loyalty and honesty, he was a pillar of strength and support for those he held dear. Whether in times of joy or adversity, Matthew’s steadfast presence and truthful words were a source of comfort and wisdom to all who sought his guidance.

One of Matthew’s greatest joys was riding his beloved motorcycle, finding solace and peace amid the mountains, crisp air, and soothing hot springs. Each journey on his bike was an escape to his personal heaven, a place where he felt most at home and connected with the beauty of nature.

As we bid farewell to Matthew, we remember him not just for his earthly pursuits, but for the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he etched in our hearts. May his spirit soar free, forever riding through the eternal mountains of peace and serenity. Rest in peace, dear Matthew, your legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know you.
