A recent grant the City of Weiser received has given the opportunity for the city to have new shade covered areas placed near the south end of Memorial Park near the newly placed playground equipment. Last summer the city surveyed the community asking what they would like to see improved and many asked for covered areas for shade. The $85,000 grant was given for projects that would “improve social interaction”. Today, Tuesday April 1st workers are out getting those new covered areas built and ready for the community use later this spring.
