New Gateway Pizza Opens in Cambridge

By Don Dopf

Months of planning and prepping by a couple of young men from Boise culminated in the opening of Gateway Pizza on May 24th in Cambridge. Kyle Braun and Collin Wilkinson are the new owners of the property and are excited to start the much-needed food outlet in a community longing for dine-out opportunities.

The new venture is housed on the corner of Superior Street and Central Boulevard in the building previously occupied by Awesome Burger, Canyon Station and a handful of other op- erations over the past 50 years. Originally it was the home of Bert’s Texaco Station until the mid 1970s.

Many hours of hard work by the young men and family members have transformed the aging structure into a very attractive and welcoming atmosphere. Kyle and Collin have been friends for over twenty years and have entered the enterprise “glad and excited to bring some- thing new to the community” that they’ve both come to love over the past several months.

Gateway Pizza offers fresh-baked pizza by the slice or in 18” whole pies. Additionally, they serve salads, beer & wine, soft drinks & tea, and hand-made milkshakes from hard ice cream.

Their hours are from 11am to 9pm, seven days a week. Local delivery will be available after July and a phone-ahead access number is coming soon.

Be sure to stop by and say hi, and pick up a free take-home menu.
