Ashlyn Creech recently received $1,000 from The Idaho Association Of Counties Scholarship from her father, Andy Creech. While Andy is the Payette County Sheriff, Ashlyn was awarded this scholarship for her relation to a county elected official or county employee in Idaho. For this scholarship, this is the 19th year it has been awarded to those specific students.
A statewide total of 52 students applied for this scholarship. This year, 8 fortunate students were chosen by the The Idaho Association Of Counties. If able to meet the requirements of being a child or grandchild to a county elected official, any high school or college student may apply. Applying for this special scholarship is made possible by personal donations from county elected officials, county employees, and other activities such as auctions and fundraisers.
Will being the daughter to the Payette County Sheriff, Ashlyn is thrilled and very thankful to fulfill her education. Ashlyn will take the next steps of her education at Northwest Nazarene University this fall to study accounting. All awarded scholarships, including The Idaho Association Of Counties Scholarship, will help pay for Ashlyn’s tuition.
