Patricia Anne Bailey – Obituary

Patricia Anne Bailey passed away peacefully October 08, 2023 with family by her side.

Pat was born in Nampa, Idaho on September 06, 1946 to Irvin and Juanita Johnson. She was the oldest of five children. She spent her childhood living in many different places along the west coast where her father was stationed in the Navy. In middle school, her family moved to Blackfoot, Idaho where she attended school and participated in Pep Club, 4H, and many church activities.

In high school, Pat met her future husband, Barton Frank Bailey, while picking potatoes during the annual Spud Harvest. Pat graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1964 and married Bart on July 15 of that same year. They resided in Rexburg, Idaho while Bart attended Ricks College.

Their first daughter Marlys, was born in 1965 while in Rexburg. The family then moved to Logan, Utah and then to Grand Junction, Colorado where their second daughter Michelle, was born in 1969. The family then moved to Idaho and in 1972 their third daughter, Nicole was born in Weiser.

Pat was a stay-at-home mom until her daughters went to school. She then attended TVCC to receive her education in Book Keeping. Pat held various positions as a book keeper and eventually worked alongside her husband in their businesses. In 1994, after 30 years of marriage, Pats husband Bart passed away from cancer and she then moved to Payette, Idaho.

Pat’s love for her family was evident in her support of their activities and sporting events and you could always hear her cheering the loudest. Pat enjoyed books, movies, yard sales, spending time with her many dear friends, serving in various callings for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, anyone that knew Pat, knew of her compassionate service to others. Pat’s greatest joy was her family.

Pat is survived by her three daughters Marlys, Michelle (Kenny), Nicole (Robert), her grandchildren : Tiffany, Ty (Cassie), Chelsi, Hailey, Skylar (Chase), Brandon, Chase (Demi), Emily (Scott) and Luke. Great Grandchildren : Bella, Bianca, Mille, Bennett, Briggs, Bailey, Dreyton, Noa and Grayson. She is also survived by her siblings Sherry (Ernie), Gary (Rosie), Greg (Jenny) and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her husband Bart, parents Irvin and Juanita, sister Diane, and her beloved grandson Eric.

Pat touched everyone she came in contact with, she will be truly missed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14 at the Church of Jesus Christ latter- Day Saints in Payette at 11 a.m. A graveside interment will be held on Saturday, October 21 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weiser.
