Susan Marie (Walker) Sapp-Obituary

January 15, 1950 – May 24, 2023 Susan Marie (Walker) Sapp joined her heavenly family May 24, 2023. She was surrounded by her family.

Susan, Sue or Suzi as some people have come to call her was born January 15th, 1950, in Weiser, Idaho to Robert Hughes & Bonnie Jean (Hay) Walker. Susan grew up on a working ranch her father & Grandfather operated, needless to say she learned good work habits. She participated in 4-H for several years raising market beef, she loved horseback riding and the yearly cattle roundup. She was active in Jobs Daughters and later in life was a member of the Eastern Star. She attended Weiser School District till High School Graduation, after graduation she attended Lewis & Clark Normal in Lewiston, Idaho. She met Danial Axtell and married. She was the proud mother of her two sons Garrett Axtell & Bradly Axtell they were both by her side in death. Sue had many friends that she loved to spend time with. She spoke of the many friendships she had over the years.

After several years away and raising her two boys and being in the Tri-Cities for some time she came home to be with family and live in the community. She was hired on at the Weiser School District as a bus Driver until her retirement. This couldn’t have been a more perfect job for Susan as she loved kids and enjoyed the many extra athletic runs. After retiring of 24 year she couldn’t get enough driving, as she spent a number of hours driving to Lewiston to see her grandkids Alexis & Koda Axtell which she adored and worshiped.

Susan met her life partner James Sapp in 1996 and they were married in November of 1998. Jim was a great Weiser Elk’s member they traveled around representing the Elk’s which always put a smile on Sue’s face because she would get to meet new people.

Preceding her in death Her Mother and Father and in November of 2022 husband Jim passed. After Jim’s passing Susan didn’t have the gusto for life left. After that her health started going downhill and it was much harder for her to recover.
