The Weiser School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent recently orchestrated a crucial gathering, bringing together representatives from various local agencies to discuss emergency preparedness. In an effort to ensure the safety of all Weiser students, this collaborative effort included key participants such as the Weiser Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Department, Weiser Fire District, Weiser Memorial Hospital, Washington County Ambulance, The City of Weiser, and members of the School Leadership team.
The emergency preparedness discussion, led by School Resource Officer Cody Samson, witnessed extensive input from all invitees. While Weiser prides itself on being one of the safest cities in America, the participants underscored the importance of not taking this safety for granted. The central focus throughout the gathering remained the safety of our children and the essential task of keeping families and the community well-informed.
