Upper Country Singers Begin Rehearsals

The Upper Country Singers will begin rehearsals for their annual Christmas performance on Monday, September 11 at 7:00 p.m. at the Midvale School. No auditions or previous experience is required.

The group has been in existence in one form or another for many years in the Upper Country. However, choir members now travel from Council, Mesa, Indian Valley, Cambridge, Midvale, and Weiser. For the last fifteen years, the Singers have performed their Christmas concert in the Cambridge Exhibit Hall to large appreciative crowds.

This year’s theme is “All Is Merry and Bright”. The choir will sing arrangements of “O Holy Night”, “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Noel”, along with many others. The concert is scheduled for Sunday, December 3 at 3:00 p.m.

The Upper Country Children’s Choir will also begin rehearsals on Tuesday, September 12 at 4:00 p.m. at the Midvale Community Church. The children will perform alongside the adult choir, and also their own dances and songs.

If you have any questions, you may contact Debbie Warren at (208) 866-7583 or at dananddebwarren@gmail.com or the Children’s Choir director, Laurel Sherman at (208) 550-2675.
