Washington County Sheriff Department Urges Caution on Icy Roads Amidst Severe Weather Conditions

Posted January 29, 2024

In light of freezing temperatures and dense fog in the region, the Washington County Sheriff Department is issuing a public advisory to exercise extreme caution on the roads.

Earlier today, a vehicle accident underscored the challenging nature of the icy roads in the area. The incident occurred between Midvale and Weiser, in proximity to the Thousand Springs Ranch on Highway 95, at approximately 8:00 AM on Monday, January 29th.

Law enforcement officials are urging residents and commuters to prioritize safety, reduce speed, and exercise extra caution when navigating the roadways. The Washington County Sheriff Department extends its gratitude to the community for their cooperation.
