On September 28, 2023 the Weiser Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees appointed their newest member, Veronica Vasquez. Veronica is the Executive Director of Rose Advocates, a confidential network offering resources to abused children & adults.
Veronica will serve as Trustee for a term of 6 years and will also be co-chair of the Board of Trustees Planning Committee with fellow Trustee, Sherry Young. The previous co-chair of this committee, Kyla Dickerson will become co-chair of the Board of Trustees Quality Committee. Veronica replaces previous Trustee, Sally Bouvia, on the Board of Trustees who vacated the position when her term was complete.
“I have worked closely with Weiser Memorial Hospital for years through my work with Rose Advocates and our partnership there,” stated Vasquez. “I’m excited for this opportunity to continue to serve our community in a different way and have felt very welcomed by the rest of the Board of Trustees and the staff and leadership at Weiser Memorial Hospital.”
WMH is a 25-bed taxing district hospital and has been serving the health care needs of our region since it was established in 1950. The hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital and is guided by a 7 member volunteer Board of Trustees.
