Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation Seeking Community Support for Establishing New Scholarship Fund

The Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation is participating in the annual Idaho Gives event, which is a program of the Idaho Nonprofit Center, designed to raise money and awareness for Idaho nonprofits.  After much discussion during board development meetings, board members concluded that they wanted to create a scholarship fund that would support the healthcare industry by helping fund local students interested in healthcare education.

Idaho Gives is a huge event that brings people together to support local communities.  Executive Director, Casey Clark Ney, shared that the Weiser community has always been generous and supportive of previous programs.  Not only is the board establishing a healthcare scholarship fund, but this fund will also continue to support the industry and support the community by offering programs to the community members.  It is their hope that by funding a healthcare scholarship, this will encourage local students to explore the field and commit themselves to giving back to our community by joining the healthcare organizations locally.

Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation has set a goal for the Idaho Gives fundraiser at $5,000.  Casey Clark Ney explained that all proceeds for this fundraiser go directly to the scholarship fund without a percentage taken out.  Idaho Gives will run from April 29th through May 6th, 2021.  Money is already coming in from board members and hospital employees, so please join them as they celebrate the best Weiser community has to offer by donating!

Go to idahogives.org and select “Weiser Memorial Hospital Foundation” as your chosen nonprofit.  Donors may give their name or donate anonymously.  Every donation makes a difference!
