Weiser Memorial Hospital Receives Honorable Mention In The Best Places To Work In Idaho Program 3 Years In A Row!

The Best Places to Work in Idaho program was launched in 2007 to recognize Idaho employers who go above and beyond in creating top-level work environments for their employees. Weiser Memorial Hospital (WMH) began participating in the program 3 years ago and has earned Honorable Mention each year.

Honorees are identified and ranked based 100% on employee feedback. “Our ranking among large employers in Idaho continues to climb,” commented CEO Steven Hale. “Our biggest reward for participating in this program is not the plaque or acknowledgment, it’s the information we gather from our employees. Better understanding our employees and their experiences provides the information we need to continuously improve operations for them as well as for those we serve. This is worth celebrating!”

Not all employers who participate in the program are able to earn a rank. “The top 10 and those listed for Honorable Mention are the names of our state’s employers where work is not only financially rewarding, but emotionally and mentally rewarding as well,” noted Kasey Davis, WMH’s Marketing & Community Relations Manager.

Organizations who take part in the program register through POPULUS, a Human Resources and Marketing Research Firm that provides employees with confidential survey questions. A minimum of 60% of staff must participate for the employer to be eligible for an award.

“Our employees are what make WMH what it is and without them we could not live our mission to save lives, improve health, and build community,” Hale commented.

Participation in the program, in part, helps attract top talent in an extremely competitive labor market. “Being named as one of the Best Places to Work in Idaho helps Weiser Memorial Hospital stand out in this very competitive healthcare industry,” Hale explained.

The Best Places to Work in Idaho designation demonstrates to current employees, and those looking to work for WMH, a commitment to creating and maintaining a workplace that strives for excellence.

“Our success is based on recognizing and building the strengths of each employee,” Hale said. “We have worked hard building a culture here at Weiser Memorial Hospital where recognition is ingrained into our daily lives. This creates employees who are excited to come to work and is reflected in the care and consideration they demonstrate to patients, visitors, and co-workers.”
