Weiser’s 100 Friends Who Care is looking for organizations to donate to

By Michelle Estes

Are you looking for ways to create a positive impact in your community? Then, you’ll love what the 100 Friends Who Care Weiser is doing! The steering committee is excited about the upcoming inaugural meeting on May 20th.

As a member, you get to be part of a group that is dedicated to making a difference in Weiser and Washington County. By donating $100 per quarter to a 501(c)(3) organization with a local presence, you can help benefit residents of Washington County. And the best part? You get to vote on who gets the donation at the quarterly meetings!

With over 70 members, they are gaining ground, but they’re not done yet and need your help to reach the goal of 100 donors! If the group can get to 100 members, then the donation would be $10,000 to a worthy organization.

They are also looking for Washington County-based organizations that would like to be put on the 501(c)(3) list and be eligible to receive donations. Three vetted organizations will be chosen to give a presentation at each meeting. So, if you know an organization that could benefit from the amazing support, please contact Kelly Haun at 208-573-0812 and let us know.

The 100 Friends Who Care of Weiser is thrilled about this opportunity to create a positive impact and achieve more than what each person could achieve individually. If you have any questions, would like to be a member of the group, or want to be added to the local 501(c)(3) organization list, please don’t hesitate to contact a member of the steering committee.
