Welcome To Weiser Sign Contest!

As for most of the people that live in Weiser or have driven through town, have noticed the red and white welcome to Weiser sign when entering. These are not just regular welcome to our town signs. In fact these are signs that carry such a loving and thoughtful slogan; We love our kids, our country, and our community. These wonderful signs were built years ago by 2×4’s and by hands wanting to set a good foundation for our little town. Unfortunately, these signs are beginning to become old and chip away as the years go on. The 2×4’s that built these signs will not be able to hold up a loving message for as long as we want them too. Although the signs are beginning to fade, the words still stand.

The Weiser Economic Development Task Force hopes to create a new welcome to Weiser signs that will last for the long term! These signs will be sponsored by a contest. In this contest anyone is welcome to participate. Participants must design an appropriate free hand sketch that they think is welcoming for people entering Weiser. Members of the task force are looking for designs that include one or more of these natural elements such as rock, wood, sand, metal, animals, or musical arts. With these elements in mind, the task force hopes for the incorporation of the previous We love our kids, our country, and our community slogan.

The contest has started and will run until September 7th. All designs must be turned into Patrick Nauman at Weiser Classic Candies by 5pm on September 7th to qualify for the contest. The Weiser Economic Development Task Force will conclude a winner of their choosing for the welcome sign design. And not to mention there is an amazing prize, $500.00 to the person they select to win!
